Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 to join our Raleigh, NC office.

Your Role

• Work alongside traffic engineers to compile and analyze data for reports and presentations to North Carolina Department of Transportation staff.
• Perform field data collection of traffic data.
• Assist with drafting technical reports and presentations based on data analysis to allow the North Carolina Department of Transportation to make data-driven decisions.
• Assist with writing code, scripts, or algorithms to analyze raw data for reports and graphics.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
