Together, we have engineered a revolutionary technology that is yielding extraordinary results.Are you ready to be a part of the next chapter in Silicon Valley's hyper-growth IoT success story?SummaryWe are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to build full-stack hardware/firmware systems for customers delivering intelligent, automated technology solutions. You will oversee system integration, hardware bring-up, firmware development, part validation, and manage the product lifecycle from prototype to mass production.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSystem Architecture & IntegrationPartner with electrical engineers to select components based on system needs, specifically focusing on microcontrollers (MCUs), communication interfaces, and power management units.Support the integration of hardware, firmware, and software systems to ensure reliable overall system operation.Hardware Bring-UpBring up new hardware platforms and debug standard interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, as well as communication protocols such as CAN Bus, RS-485, and Modbus.Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues to ensure reliable connectivity and system operation.Firmware & System LogicDevelop low-level drivers and firmware.Design and implement robust Finite State Machines (FSMs) to manage system behavior and safety states.Develop firmware with consideration for system reliability, performance, and real-time constraints.Power & EfficiencyDevelop and implement protocols to optimize energy consumption for battery-powered systems and sensors.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate hardware and firmware into complete systems.Collaborate across engineering disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues.Testing & ValidationDesign automated test fixtures for system sub-systems.Validate design integrity under dynamic conditions, including vibration and thermal testing.Support product validation from prototype through production.Minimum RequirementsEducation: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.Programming: Solid C/C++ programming skills with a strong understanding of memory management and real-time constraints.Experience: 4+ years working in bare metal and RTOS-based systems (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.).Protocols: Competence in BLE, LoRa, or LTE, plus industrial standards (CAN, Modbus).Debugging: Skilled with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power analyzers.The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $200,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
