Fab Equipment Maint Technician

Dry Etch Equipment Maintenance Technician Micron Technology in Manassas, Virginia seeks a Dry Etch Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in the assigned area, collaborating with production teams and engineers. Responsibilities Assisting with equipment installs and tests Creating and modifying equipment procedures Increasing tool uptime through systematic problem solving, quality workmanship, thorough documentation of all maintenance in check sheets and tracking programs, and routine review of these documents Monitoring, analyzing, and addressing SPC issues for area processes daily and responding to out‑of‑control SPC events Keeping the Lead Technician and/or Lead Engineer updated on tool and area issues Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance; experience with vacuum systems is a plus Basic to intermediate knowledge of AC/DC circuits, fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits; basic understanding of physics concepts and principles Knowledge of SPC principles and proper application; understanding of semiconductor equipment Basic knowledge of test and calibration equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DMMs, etc.) Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments, including night shift; ability to work 12‑hour shifts (3 on/4 off, 4 on/3 off), stand the entire shift, and lift equipment Preferred Qualifications Two‑year industry‑related associate degree, working toward a STEM related degree, or equivalent military training and experience Prior experience maintaining high‑vacuum systems (roughing pumps, turbo pumps, cryo pumps, pressure measurement systems) Experience repairing plasma RF systems and semiconductor etch tools such as LAM (KIYO, EXELAN, FX, FLFX) or AMAT CENTURA, MESA, PRODUCER, ENABLER or TEL (DRM, SCCM, VIGUS, VESTA) Experience with multiple robotic systems and proficiency in operating, maintaining, and repairing them Experience in training and mentoring technicians Benefits Micron offers a choice of medical, dental and vision plans in all locations, allowing team members to select plans that best meet their healthcare needs and budget.
