Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications via a variety of routes and operate IV pumps and vital signs monitoring equipment
• Provide wound, line, and drain care with accurate documentation in the EMR system
• Float across multiple medical-surgical units and specialty areas including oncology, cardiac, neuro, trauma, observation, medical behavioral, and innovations units
• Report in daily to receive unit assignment; nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4–5 (days/evenings) and 1:5–6 (nights)
• Participate in a structured orientation program including unit-specific training shifts and campus tours

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota RN license or valid Compact state RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience in a large, fast-paced hospital (200+ beds)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience in a Level 2 or higher trauma center; willingness to float within the Med-Surg cluster and between campuses

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous float pool or resource pool experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Accudose Rx, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips vitals monitoring equipment
• Experience in a hospital with 250+ beds
