Job Description
Acute Care Nurse

Job Summary

An Acute Care Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions. This position requires a skilled professional who can adapt to fast-paced environments and deliver effective patient monitoring and treatment.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and necessary care
Document patient care and progress in accordance with established policies
Respond to medical emergencies and assist with life-saving procedures

Qualifications

Current nursing license in the state of practice
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience in acute care settings is highly desirable
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Location
