Electrical Assistant Project ManagerEPI Power is hiring an Electrical Assistant Project Manager to join our team! The Assistant Project Manager collaborates with the Project Manager to profitably manage a small project or a specific scope of a larger project. This role will also manage the administrative and field construction activities on their assigned project.This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday – Saturday.EPI Power, LLC ("EPI") is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers. We believe our employees to be our most valuable asset, and we are committed to growing a diverse and inclusive culture that inspires, motivates, and continuously improves.What You'll Do:Be involved in developing BIM (building information modeling) application and Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)Understand contract terms and obligations to ensure work in progress is within scopeManage construction documents, drawings, requests for information (RFI) and submittalsPrepare inspections, compliance audits and the non-conformance logManage material and equipment delivery status and project logs (i.e. buyouts, subcontractor material status reports, submittals, RFIs)Assist in the preconstruction, project planning, and buyout processCreate and manage scopes of work to be included in subcontracts and/or purchase order agreementsApprove subcontractor and vendor pay applicationsAssist in completion of monthly project status reports (MPSR), owner billings, and financial risk assessmentsEnsure subcontract agreements and amendments are executedTrack and negotiate subcontractor requests for changeUtilize virtual design tools to assist with project coordinationFacilitate regular project meetings; record and distribute meeting minutes as neededManage closeout information, punch list items, as-built drawings, and warranty processFacilitate dispute resolution among subcontractors, vendors, architects and ownersIdentify and propose value engineering and scope reduction opportunitiesSupport with mentoring and providing development opportunities for team membersAssist with identifying, developing, and closing out owner and subcontractor change ordersAssist with documenting field conditions and potential impacts to cost or scheduleSupport project safety initiatives and compliance with company and site safety requirementsAssist with reviewing productivity and schedule progress to support project reporting and coordinationWhat We're Looking For:Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction project managementExperience supporting projects executed under GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) contract structures, including change management, cost tracking, and scope administration, is an asset.Experience on data center, mission-critical, industrial, or other large complex electrical projects is strongly preferredAn industry-related college degree is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredKnowledge and application of Lean principlesSkills: Project management skills and commercial construction knowledgeAbility to support schedule-driven execution in a fast-track construction environmentStrong negotiation and relationship building skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to make sound judgements and decisionsAnalytical thinker with a high level of initiativeAdaptable to meet the needs of the business and the clientDetail-oriented and highly organizedTechnology: Experience with JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, P6 is a plusProficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookAbility to learn specific job-related software upon hireWhat We Offer:Competitive PayComprehensive Benefits Package with Tax-Advantaged HSA and FSA offeringsEmployer-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability ProgramsEmployer-Paid Life InsuranceGenerous Paid Time Off Provisions401K Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchTuition ReimbursementFully Paid Parental LeaveVoluntary Products Including: Critical Illness Insurance and Accident InsuranceCorporate Wellness Program with Wellness Time Off and RewardsVisa sponsorship is not available for this position at this time.The Company does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
