Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Family Medicine Rural (Float Position)

Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full‑time Monday‑Friday Family Medicine Provider Float position (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). The role will be based at the UHS Primary Care Windsor site with limited travel to Windsor, Vestal, and Deposit Medical Centers within a 30‑mile radius. The successful candidate will cover provider patient panels during disability, FMLA, or vacation absences and may also conduct acute tele‑medicine visits from the home base practice. Primary Department, Division, or Unit UHS Primary Care Windsor Annual Compensation Range $126,300 – $148,600 annually (salary range may vary). Graduate hires will participate in our Advance Practice Residency Program if entering newly on the board. Qualifications Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Current New York State license as an RN and Family Nurse Practitioner (for NPs), or current license to practice in New York State (for PAs). Ability to travel in the local 30‑mile area and provide acute tele‑medicine services as needed. Responsibilities Cover patient panels for providers during disability, FMLA, or vacation time. Conduct acute tele‑medicine visits from the home base practice. Provide quality primary care including health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. Collaborate with the practice team and maintain accurate chart documentation.
