Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate patients to determine therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct physical therapy to restore function and mobility
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Supervise PTAs and Rehab Technicians in accordance with practice acts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families for holistic care
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
- Active state Physical Therapy license or ability to obtain one
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs
Education
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in patient evaluation and treatment planning
- Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and techniques
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
- Understanding of safety and infection control regulations
- Supervisory skills for directing PTAs and rehab techs
