Caf Barista Position

Job Summary

As a Caf Barista at Vishwa Shanti Caf, you will play an essential role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience by assisting in the preparation of the caf and counters before, during, and at the end of service. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service, managing inventory and stock levels, handling payments securely, and maintaining a clean and organized caf environment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide exemplary customer service at the counter, ensuring customers receive prompt assistance and a positive experience.
2. Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, cakes, and food items according to established standards.
3. Offer product recommendations and menu guidance to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
4. Manage queues efficiently, upsell products where possible, and contribute to maximizing profitability.
5. Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of supplies and consumables, manage orders, and ensure stock rotation.
6. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all areas, including table clearing, waste disposal, and overall caf cleanliness.
7. Address customer complaints promptly and escalate issues to managers as necessary, while striving to resolve concerns effectively.
8. Ensure security measures are upheld, including product and cash security, accurate payment processing, and vigilance against theft or fraud.
9. Adhere to established guidelines, operating procedures, OSHA regulations, and food hygiene standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
10. Collaborate with team members, take initiative, and assist in various tasks as needed to support caf operations.

• Previous experience as a trained Barista or in catering is desirable.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, work independently, and support colleagues.
• Ability to multitask effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
