About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS AWHONN Intermediate BLS NRP Must-Have: Previous charge experience Experience with a patient ratio of 2:1 Experience with Epic charting system Description: Provide care to patients during labor and delivery. Assist with high-risk deliveries and sterile speculum exams. Support patients with breastfeeding and lactation. Perform procedures such as cesarean sections and cervical cerclage. Administer and monitor medication, including pain management and antipyretics. Conduct assessments and manage complications such as postpartum hemorrhage. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Educate patients and families on care plans and health maintenance. Manage IVs and administration of blood products. Facilitate communication among healthcare team members. Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively. Engage in continuous professional development and training.
