Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional physical therapy services to patients in an outpatient brain injury rehab setting
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed
- Document patient treatments and progress accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Maine (or compact license eligible)
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- CPR certification required (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Prior experience in outpatient or brain injury rehab preferred, but new grads welcome to apply!
Education
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and rehab techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
