As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, including by vehicle as needed, to help support a secure and welcoming environment. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, assist shoppers and store staff with outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations and actions.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor customer and associate activity, report suspicious behavior, and/or assist with access control, crowd management, and store closing procedures as directed.
• Support retail loss prevention efforts by observing high-traffic areas, helping with de-escalation during customer-related issues, and communicating with site contacts and local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
