Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Nights shift, located in the Labor and Delivery Department. This position focuses on providing comprehensive obstetric care for high-risk laboring patients, including conducting various assessments, assisting with deliveries, and managing postpartum care. The role offers options of 36 or 48 hours per week, with a commitment to scheduled weekend shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Kansas or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission; 2 years of labor and delivery experience preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Women's Health and Obstetric Nursing (AWHONN) certification at Intermediate or Advanced levels, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification in hand at time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of labor and delivery experience; experience with high-risk obstetric patient management, including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and C-section procedures; experience with Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM).
• Additional Information: Must work 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week period or every third weekend. Short orientation will be provided onsite. Candidates must possess valid licenses in Kansas or states with licensing agreements and be able to float to similar units as needed. Modules are completed onsite during orientation and recorded via transcripts.
