Job Description: As a Software Engineer for Private Equity & Real Estate Technology, you will develop and manage innovative technologies for our Asset Management teams. You will build, lead, and mentor a team of technologists to design, build, test, deploy, and support functionality across a variety of stacks and platforms. Through partnering with business stakeholders, you'll drive business value while also producing elegant engineering solutions. Internal applications are built using a highly scalable serverless and/or microservice architecture that is deployed via Terraform into AWS. Key technologies in this framework include React, Typescript, Next.js, Python, C#, SQL, Docker, Terraform and AWS. You will be expected to take ownership of projects and find gaps in design with Blackstone business analysts. You will tackle a variety of problems from automating business processes, scaling out infrastructure to promoting reusable components across the organization.Responsibilities:Use cloud native technologies and services to build scalable and secure applicationsBuild, support, and integrate web applications, microservices, and data pipelines on a variety of platformsAdopt an inner-source approach and culture to collaborate more effectivelyUse modern software development methodologies and tools like JIRA to manage and deliver projectsFollow scalable & secure architectural practices to build fault tolerant distributed systemsWrite automated unit, integration, and deployment testsUse Terraform to create and update infrastructureDesign data models and persist data to Snowflake and DynamoDBIdentify opportunities to automate away repetitive tasksLead technical design and code reviews to drive projects towards the best resultsPromote, implement, and evolve development best practicesQualifications:2+ years of experience in Software Engineering positionsDesire to learn and adapt to new technologiesSelf-starting, entrepreneurial attitudeFamiliarity with developing applications in any one of the public cloud providers, preferably AWS.Strong programming experience in any language (Python and C# preferred)Experience with database technology (relational and/or NoSQL)Experience driving your projects from inception to completionWillingness to teach, coach, and mentor othersExperience producing high quality code and solicit feedbackWillingness to take a position and share views freely in a constructive and solution-based mannerExperience in one or more of messaging, caching, automation, agentic development, and UI frameworks is a plusThe duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position.
