Technical Architect

Technical Architect – Hybrid (U.S. Citizen required, active DoD Secret clearance) Position Overview Join RTX’s Digital Services department as a senior Technical Architect. Drive the end‑to‑end design, implementation, and support of classified digital solutions in a collaborative environment across business, security, and engineering teams. Responsibilities Design, develop, and oversee implementation of secure, scalable full‑stack architectures for classified projects. Translate requirements from senior analysts and stakeholders into technical specifications and solutions. Ensure compliance with classified security policies, regulatory standards, and best practices. Provide leadership and guidance to development teams, mentoring junior staff. Maintain architectural artifacts including high‑level designs, detailed diagrams, and security guidelines. Conduct architecture reviews, audits, and risk assessments. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovations. Core Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience (or 5 years with an advanced degree) in full stack development and technical architecture. At least 3 years in a classified environment. Strong knowledge of secure stateless and stateful systems design. Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps. Preferred Qualifications AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Solutions Architect – Expert certification. Background in aerospace/defense and familiarity with classified information handling. Proficiency in JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, Java, Python, and relational/NoSQL databases. Expertise in cybersecurity principles, risk mitigation and compliance. Experience designing complex, enterprise‑level full‑stack solutions.
