Job Overview: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

Department: Laboratory

Shift: Flexible (Will consider 8-hour shifts)

Requirements & Certifications

• Licensure: Active CDPH (California Department of Public Health) license is strictly required.

• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) is required. ASCP certification is optional and not a requirement for this role.

Clinical Experience & Skillset

• Core Laboratory Settings: Experience is required in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation.

• Microbiology: Minimal Microbiology (specifically Serology) experience is required.

• Blood Bank: Not required.

Equipment & Systems

• Laboratory Information System (LIS): Cerner

• Instrumentation/Equipment Used:

  • Chemistry/Immunoassay: Abbott Architect

  • Hematology: Beckman Coulter DxH

  • Urinalysis: Beckman Coulter DxU Iris

  • Coagulation: Stago

  • Blood Gas: Gem 500

  • Microbiology/Blood Culture: BD Bactec Fx, Cepheid, and Biofire
