Psychiatry Physician

Locums Psychiatry coverage in Texas with a predictable Monday through Friday, 40 hour work week and no call. Adult male patient population with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Highlights No call requirements. Full time weekday schedule, 40 hours per week with some flexibility in shift start and end times. Ongoing coverage tied to a permanent search, locums term capped at 3 months and you must be willing to consider perm. Manageable daily volume, about 8 to 12 encounters per day. Practice Setting Clinic based role with a mix of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. Adults only, male patients only, general population custody levels 1 and 2. Clinical work includes psychiatric, physical, and neurological examinations. Provides clinical supervision to psychiatric mid level practitioners as assigned by the clinical director. Schedule Monday through Friday coverage, full time only, 40 hours per week. Shift times have some flexibility within the 40 hour work week. No call. Estimated start date is mid November 2026. Cases and Procedures Direct psychiatric care for assigned patients. Participation in due process proceedings for voluntary admission and compelled psychoactive medication. Forensic experience is not required, but is a benefit. Requirements Must be an MD or DO. Board Certified in Psychiatry. Active Texas license required, will not wait for license. BLS and DEA required.
