The primary patient population includes inpatient oncology with 16 dedicated patient beds, cross-trained for bone marrow transplant (BMT), and medical/surgical overflow./ppPrimary skills utilized/learned include IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management, hospice and palliative care, and the ability to obtain chemotherapy certification. Time management, critical thinking, and delegating are also essential./ppThe RN will work with LPNs, patient care nursing assistants (PCNAs), nurse interns, and providers.
