Food Scientist

Position Overview Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Food Scientist I will support the Food Science Lab and assist with product development activities from initial concept through scale-up. This role will conduct product trials and studies while ensuring work meets company and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Assist with developing and mixing wet and dry formulas. Support raw material sourcing and maintain ingredient and formulation databases. Conduct sensory evaluations and stability studies. Collect, document, analyze, and interpret data. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient laboratory. Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, records, and quality programs. Complete additional laboratory duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in a science-related field with at least two years of laboratory experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related field preferred. Experience in a research, food manufacturing, or nutraceutical environment preferred. Experience with product formulation, process specifications, scale-up, sensory testing, or stability studies preferred. Familiarity with Genesis or other food formulation software is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
