Maine Medical Center Professional - Nonclinical Req #: 77287 Summary The Prior Authorization Specialist role verifies medication-related insurance eligibility, benefits, verification, prior authorization and researches medication denials to ensure payments are processed on a timely basis. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. License/Certifications: N/A Experience: Experience as a medical assistant, pharmacy technician, or prior authorization work in healthcare or related environment required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Medical Terminology. Knowledge of Medical Insurance and concept of referrals/pre-authorizations.
