Scotch Institute of ENT, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, is currently seeking a Medical Receptionists for a part-time position. Our main office is located in Wesley Chapel (Seven Oaks area) which is where this position will be primarily. Our second location is located in Trinity (New Port Richey) and travel would be required on an as needed basis. Our areas of focus are ENT (adult and pediatric), Hearing, Allergies, and Sleep Medicine. We have 4 physicians, a nurse practitioner, and 2 physician assistants.Medical Receptionist Description:This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist who is able to multitask, motivated, able to handle a high volume of patients, phone calls and charts. Must be a self-starter, have EMR, medical records, check in and check out experience and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Audiology field.Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:Providing superior customer service to all patients and guestsAnswer multi-line phonesGreet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary dataProvide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.Insurance VerificationSchedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availabilityProvide patients with support and guidance as neededMedical Receptionist Requirements:Minimum 1-year previous experience in a medical practice preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice. The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients. The ability to work in a team environment. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Strong computer literacy. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Incumbent must also be able to assist patients in transferring from wheelchair to an exam chair, when necessary. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between ENTA offices for support purposes.
