Mortgage Originator – Faribault Branch Location

Scheduled Hours: Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility required to attend networking events and meet with prospective and existing clients outside regular business hours when necessary.

As a Mortgage Originator at HomeTown Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional mortgage lending services to our existing and prospective members. Your primary focus will be on building and strengthening member relationships by identifying their unique needs and recommending tailored financial solutions that promote their success. You will actively network within the communities we serve, increasing the Credit Union's visibility while promoting our mortgage services consistently. By contributing to the development of innovative mortgage products and services, you will ensure our offerings align with member needs. This position also involves originating and closing first and second mortgage loans while assisting in educational efforts, such as seminars and presentations, to empower members, potential clients, and area realtors.

Ensuring compliance and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in mortgage regulations is essential, as is serving as a resource for staff training and best practices in mortgage lending.

What you bring

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• 2+ years of loan officer experience
• 2+ years of real estate experience
• NMLS license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
