Material Handler I

Material HandlerMaterial Handler will receive shipments, ensure that all inventory is properly placed and stored within the pharmacy. The Material Handler will work closely with the inventory support team and follow all best practice for pharmacy operations.Shifts:Saturday - Tuesday 9am-7:30pmMonday - Friday 11am to 7:30pmTraining schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6pm for approx. 2 weeksEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceiving of pharmaceutical inventory from all wholesalersValidating all pharmaceutical inventory receipts to the invoice, either electronically manually.Stock medications according to FEFO inventory systemAssist with inventory audits to eliminate expired drugs in inventoryAssist with all physical inventoriesProvide support to the inventory departmentAssist with general clerical duties and filingRespect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAAFollow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and proceduresResponsible for other duties assignedEducation and ExperienceRequired high school diploma or equivalentPrevious inventory experience preferredPrevious pharmacy experience preferredFamiliarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAttention to detailAbility to handle multiple activities or interruptions at onceAbility to communicate effectively, patiently and courteouslyFocused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and leaderAbility to lift 30lbsWork independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlinesAbility to perform repetitious work accuratelyWellDyne Can Offer YouMedical, dental and vision benefitsMedical savings account options with company match401K after 90 days of employmentEmployee assistance programLife and supplemental insuranceEducational reimbursementPaid time offWork environment / physical demands: This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged standing in front of a computer. In addition, this position requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment, including the operation of standard computer and phone equipment.
