This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management propertiesEligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) optionsOptional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefitsWhat You'll DoAdminister medications as ordered by physicians and under the direction of a Licensed Nurse, including oral medications, inhalers, eye and ear drops, topical medications, and liquid or solid medications.Complete treatments and care tasks within the scope of your training and authorization.Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, bathing, grooming, and other needs while promoting independence and dignity.Monitor residents and promptly report significant changes in condition or concerns to nursing staff.Accurately document medication administration, services provided, and resident responses.Provide skin care and change simple dressings for non-infected chronic or postoperative conditions.Assist with transfers and other physical care needs as appropriate.Provide companionship, emotional support, and compassionate care to residents.Maintain resident privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times.Follow all community standards for safety, sanitation, hygiene, appearance, and health.Work closely with residents, families, visitors, nurses, and other associates to provide consistent, high-quality care.Perform other reasonable duties delegated by a Licensed Nurse.What Makes You SuccessfulCurrent CNA or Caregiver Certification in the state you are applying in (if applicable)High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Completion of a Certified Medication Technician program, QMAP or equivalent medication training according to regulations in the state you are applying in.0–1 year of caregiving, medication administration, senior living, or related experience preferred.Basic understanding of medical terminology and care procedures.Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow medication and care instructions.Compassionate, patient-centered approach to working with seniors.Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, nurses, and coworkers.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Willingness to work with elderly residents and support their physical, emotional, and social well-being.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting, and assisting with resident transfers.You Know You're Successful When…You know you're successful when residents feel safe, respected, and cared for; medications and documentation are completed accurately and consistently; changes in resident condition are communicated promptly; and your presence helps residents maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
