About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Rapid Response Profession: RN Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 weeks Shift: 13:00 - 01:00 Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Required certifications and experience. Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered personality. Description: Rapid Response team members are responsible for providing immediate care in emergency situations. The unit consists of 11 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:6, based on acuity levels. Staffing includes PCTs scheduled mid-shift, with RNs running point-of-care labs. RNs will manage respiratory equipment setup and adjustments, with assistance available when needed. Equipment includes cardiac and vital sign monitors in all patient rooms, equipped with the necessary supplies. The documentation system used is Meditech. Staff are required to be available every other weekend and may float to other departments when necessary. Patient experience strategies include AIDET, care narration, and SBAR communication. Candidates should be experienced ED RNs comfortable with commonly seen emergency department chief complaints and trauma care. Preferred skills include advanced experience in handling procedures such as IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, and NG tube insertion. The unit is equipped with all new technology, providing a unique opportunity for skill development. This role offers the chance to work with bipap and ventilator equipment as part of a fully staffed team.
