Hot Rolling Mechanical/Process Engineer

The Hot Rolling Mechanical/Process Engineer provides technical leadership and engineering expertise to support manufacturing operations across Arconic's Global Rolled Products business. This role serves as a subject matter expert for hot rolling processes and is responsible for developing and implementing best practices, optimizing manufacturing systems, troubleshooting complex process and equipment issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and cost performance.Working closely with plant operations, engineering teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, the engineer identifies opportunities to improve product quality, increase capacity, reduce operating costs, and improve equipment reliability. The position supports capital improvement projects from concept through implementation, facilitates technology transfer across manufacturing locations, and provides technical training and mentorship to engineers, operators, and other technical personnel.The Hot Rolling Mechanical/Process Engineer serves as a key technical resource for rolling technology, leading problem-solving efforts, conducting technical assessments, evaluating new technologies, and supporting strategic manufacturing initiatives. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and manufacturing cultures.This position reports to the Manager of Rolling Technology/Process Engineering and requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 25-50%) to support manufacturing facilities and business objectives.
