Direct Support Professional / Job Coach - Detroit Lakes

Pay: $18 – $20 per hour, Based on Experience

As a Dsp / Job Coach, here's what you'll do:

Direct Support Responsibilities

• Provide daily support, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Promote safety and independence using therapeutic and person-centered approaches
• Assist individuals with life skills, goal achievement, and community involvement
• Support medication administration and health-related needs per care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely, and objective documentation
• Facilitate social participation in life events, holidays, community activities, etc.
• Encourage choice, creativity, and independence in daily routines
• Follow all applicable licensing rules (245D, Maltreatment of Vulnerable Adults/Minors)

Job Coach Responsibilities

• Provide on-site job coaching and support at community employment sites
• Help individuals adapt to new work environments and meet job expectations
• Collaborate with employers, families, and team members regarding progress
• Assist with job modifications and skill transfer as needed
• Offer ongoing support and follow-up to promote job retention
• Model professional workplace behavior and encourage positive social skills

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle (must be able to transport 3 individuals)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English (other languages a plus)
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently, act professionally, and maintain confidentiality
• Must pass a background check and meet state/county licensing requirements
