Senior Principal Antenna and Radome Design Engineer

Job Overview Senior Principal Engineer – RF Antenna Team – Tucson, AZ. Lead antenna and radome technology, shape strategy, mentor teams, and collaborate with government stakeholders. Location & Work Environment Onsite, U.S. territory (Arizona). U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance required. Responsibilities Develop antenna and radome hardware and specifications. Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary engineering teams (thermal, structural, mechanical, systems). Analyze simulation or test data to validate performance against requirements. Lead and coach teams, delegate tasks, and provide technical oversight. Prepare and present technical data to stakeholders and customers during design reviews and technical interchange meetings. Define and refine requirements for hardware compliance with government programs. Contribute to technology roadmaps, modernization, and innovation initiatives. Manage multiple priorities and drive execution plans. Qualifications Bachelor’s in STEM with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or Master’s/Ph.D. with a minimum of 8 years. Extensive experience in antenna element design, fabrication, simulation, and measurement (near‑field and far‑field). Proficiency with HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, GRASP, Python, MATLAB, and HPC environments (e.g., SLURM). Experience designing conformal antennas, datalink, flight termination, telemetry, and GPS systems. Familiarity with near‑field‑to‑far‑field processing algorithms. Knowledge of management processes (IPDS, EVMS) and experience presenting to FRB, ERB, CCB, MRB. Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
