Program Director, Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship

Program Director – Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship Valley Health System in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is actively recruiting a Program Director for Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship. This position presents the opportunity to design, develop and operate a new training program as well as maintain a clinical practice at VHS. Responsibilities: Design, develop and operate a new training program. Maintain a clinical practice. Provide quality education in a clinical environment, serving diverse patients. Contribute to peer reviewed journals and work with residents to foster scholarly activity. Assist with program growth and maintain a broad scope of practice to meet the needs of the Fellowship program and the community at large. Spend 80% of time performing clinical duties and 20% performing administrative duties as the fellowship program director. Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Jersey. Board certification in Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine. Minimum 3 years of Graduate Medical Education experience, GME leadership preferred. Maintain CME credit hours required for board certification and/or hospital staff privileges. Maintain up-to-date credentials: CV, license, DEA, CDS, Board Certification, and documentation of hospital admitting privileges. Proven relationship‑building skills with physicians and other key stakeholders. Problem resolution and strong analytical abilities. Integrity and the ability to lead change and build consensus. Solid clinical and data‑related analytical skills. Serve as a role model for collegiality and collaboration across the organization. Compensation & Benefits: Salary range $210,000–$220,000.
