Are you the type of Facilities Director who can lead a capital improvement meeting in the morning and walk a mechanical room in the afternoon?

 

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Director who understands that exceptional facility management requires both strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise.

 

This is the right opportunity if you have experience:

 

• Leading a Facilities, Maintenance, Custodial, and Grounds department.
• Developing and managing comprehensive Preventive Maintenance and Asset Management programs.
• Planning and overseeing campus improvement, renovation, and construction projects.
• Managing budgets, vendors, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Implementing and utilizing CMMS and Building Management/Energy Management Systems.
• Developing long-range facilities and capital improvement plans.
• Supervising, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Working collaboratively with school leadership to support a safe, efficient, and welcoming campus.

 

You should also be comfortable:

 

• Walking buildings and identifying maintenance priorities.
• Providing technical guidance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, building systems, and grounds.
• Reviewing contractor work for quality and compliance.
• Prioritizing competing requests while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Supporting your team when needed by being willing to roll up your sleeves and work alongside them.
• This position is not for someone whose experience is limited to:
• Office administration without facilities leadership.
• Construction project management without responsibility for ongoing facilities operations.
• Skilled trades without experience leading a department and developing long-term operational strategies.

 

The ideal candidate is a leader who can think strategically, communicate effectively with executives and school leadership, build strong teams, and understands the technical aspects of maintaining a complex campus environment.
