Requirements: To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have: Education : Bachelor’s Degree required; Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Experience: Five years of work experience in hospital infection control and epidemiology preferred. Experience in employee health preferred Licenses/Certification : Current CPR certification. CIC preferred, must obtain within 3 years of hire. Responsibilities: We are committed to improving the health of our community by delivering exceptional care and service. As part of the team you will: Develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive infection prevention and control program in alignment with CDC, APIC, OSHA, CMS, and The Joint Commission standards. Oversees surveillance activities, data collection, and trend analysis related to healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), communicable diseases, and other infection risks. Leads root cause analyses and action planning for infection prevention concerns, including outbreaks and infection-related adverse events. Provides leadership and consultation to clinical and non-clinical departments in all settings (acute care, ASC, outpatient, and senior care) to ensure IPC best practices are integrated into daily operations. Directs the employee health program, including oversight of pre-employment screenings, immunizations, TB surveillance, exposure management, and fitness-for-duty evaluations. Manages the occupational health response to bloodborne pathogen exposures, needlestick injuries, and communicable disease exposures. Coordinates with Human Resources, Safety, and Risk Management for workers' compensation reporting, modified duty coordination, and workplace injury follow-up. Interpret and implement the Infection Control standards of care recommended by governmental and accrediting agencies including assisting the Gunnison County Public Health Department in communicable disease surveillance. Facilitate collaborative teams, develop and implement action plans to improve and sustain infection prevention and employee health metrics. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Shift: Days Physical Requirements: Occasionally (1-33%) Walking, change position, feeling, stooping, kneeling, stairs, lifting/lowering (0-50 lbs), carrying (0-50 lbs), pushing/pulling (0-50 lbs) Frequently (34-66%) Standing, sitting, reaching, reach across midline, handling, pinching Continuously (37-100%) Must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance Compensation: Exempt $1988.00/week - $3081.60/week, depending on experience.
