General Labor - Recycling Sorter (1st Shift)

In this role, you are the frontline of sustainability, ensuring that recyclable materials are properly processed and kept out of landfills. What You’ll Do As a Recycling Sorter, you will work on a moving conveyor line within our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). Your primary goal is to ensure high-quality sorting of paper, plastics, and metals. Precision Sorting: Identify and separate recyclable materials from a moving stream with speed and accuracy. Quality Control: Proactively remove contaminants and non-recyclable items to meet industry standards. Operational Safety: Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your team. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to keep the workflow smooth and efficient. Site Maintenance: Keep your workstation clean and clear of debris to ensure maximum productivity. Work Environment Industrial Setting: You will work in a high-energy, non-climate-controlled facility. Dynamic Conditions: Expect a loud environment with exposure to dust, odors, and varying temperatures depending on the season. Physical Activity: This role requires standing for the duration of your shift, repetitive motion, and constant alertness. Qualifications & Requirements We value a strong work ethic over a long resume. If you are dependable and ready to work, you’ll fit right in. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, twist, and reach for 8–10 hour shifts. Strength: Must be able to lift between 25–50 lbs as needed. Reliability: Ability to work assigned shifts, including potential rotating schedules. Team Player: A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others in a production-focused setting. Experience: Previous experience in warehouse, labor, or production roles is a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate! Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday 1st shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
