CNC MachinistWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing OEM manufacturing team that specializes in large, custom-machined components and equipment. In this role, you program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and turning centers while consistently maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. You work on advanced 3-axis and 5-axis CNC equipment, contribute to complex projects, and collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to meet demanding production objectives.ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and CNC turning centers to produce custom components and equipment.Work with both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines to complete complex machining operations.Create and edit CNC programs using Siemens, Haas, and Heidenhain 530 controls to meet part specifications and production requirements.Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and detailed work instructions to plan and execute machining operations accurately.Select appropriate tooling, determine cutting parameters, and optimize cycle times to improve efficiency and throughput.Perform machine setups, including offsets, tool changes, and first-piece inspections, ensuring parts meet required tolerances before production runs.Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment to verify quality.Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or setup adjustments as needed to resolve dimensional, surface finish, or process problems.Maintain accurate production and quality documentation, including job travelers, inspection records, and machine logs.Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to achieve production objectives and resolve technical challenges.Follow all established safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies while operating equipment and handling materials.Operate related shop equipment such as drill presses and grinders as needed to support machining and finishing operations.Perform changeovers and machine operation tasks efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain steady workflow.Support a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area by following housekeeping and equipment maintenance guidelines.Essential SkillsHands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining equipment.Proficiency with CNC mills and CNC lathes or CNC turning centers in a production or job-shop environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and detailed work instructions.Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills for machining processes and equipment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production and quality expectations.Willingness to work overtime as needed to support customer demand and production schedules.Comfort working with drill presses, grinders, and other common machining and shop equipment.Capability to perform machine changeovers and operate various machining equipment safely and efficiently.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience creating and editing programs using Siemens, Haas, and Heidenhain 530 CNC controls.Experience operating both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC equipment on complex parts and features.OEM manufacturing experience, particularly with custom-built equipment and components.Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and its application to tight-tolerance parts.Experience machining large components and tight-tolerance parts in a precision manufacturing environment.Technical school education, machining certificate, or formal apprenticeship training in machining or related fields.Comfort working in a laid-back yet quality-driven manufacturing environment where employees manage programming, setup, and operation rather than simple machine tending.Why Work Here?You join a stable, first-shift operation that offers consistent overtime opportunities, allowing you to maximize your earnings while maintaining work-life balance. You operate large CNC machining centers, lathes, and turning equipment and focus on custom and complex projects rather than high-volume repetitive production. Dress and attire are typical for an industrial machining setting, with appropriate safety gear and work clothing required to operate equipment safely.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Ford City, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $62400.00/yr.
