Salary Range

The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $38.00 to $62.74 per hour. (Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements).

Glens Falls Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team! The Crisis Center operates in a fast-paced environment as it is an outpatient unit located in our state-of-the-art Emergency Department. Responsibilities include supporting intake processes, safety procedures (such as contraband and body checks), and assisting with patient flow. Care is more immediate and triage-based, with patients receiving initial treatment and stabilization while awaiting a full crisis evaluation. Nursing staff collaborate closely with Emergency Department (ED) providers to obtain medication orders and manage patient needs in real time.

Team Impact

In this position, you will be an important member of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for management and delivery of patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and within the scope of practice delineated in the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct patient care, delegates/assigns responsibility as appropriate to others, and serves as leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician.

Qualifications

Education/Accredited Programs

• Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred; new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire (RNs with 20+ years of experience may be eligible to opt for certification completion rather than BSN).

Experience/Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Maintains competency in professional nursing practices
• Knowledge of standard health care reporting measures required
• Ability to recognize patient care problems and to react appropriately in patient care emergencies
