Travel Echo Technologist - $2,355 per week

Overview Focus Staff is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a temporary assignment in Farmville, Virginia. The role is a 13‑week contract, 40 hours per week with 8‑hour daily shifts. Job Details Specialty: Echo Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 04/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour days) Employment type: Travel Responsibilities Conduct multi‑specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations per departmental procedures. Operate under the direction of the Manager, Ultrasound Services, Medical Director of the Vascular Laboratory and Radiology Department, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology. Work under limited direction of the Medical Director and the Clinical Coordinator of Ultrasound Services in regional centers. Follow guidance of experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program. Requirements Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program. National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent; state license if required. Advance specialty certification (RVT/RCS/RDCS or equivalent for Cardiac/Vascular) within 18 months of hire if applicable. BLS certification required. Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1–2 years of experience. Effective communication, human relations, analytical and problem‑solving skills. AHA ACLS Provider course completed within 12 months of employment. Preferred experience in skilled nursing, psychiatric or mental health hospital/outpatient clinic; RN with at least 2 years in an active psychiatric or mental health unit. Proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic technologist. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Preferred Qualifications Experienced Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) with strong equipment expertise. Compassionate, sensitive, critical thinker with quick response to emergencies.
