Tool Crib Assistant-$20/hr 1st Shift

Job Description

This role focuses on supporting production operations by managing tool crib inventory and ensuring that all tools are properly organized, tracked, and available for use. You work within a fast-paced production environment and play a key role in keeping the tool crib running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of tools and related equipment within the tool crib department.
• Receive, label, and store tools in designated locations to ensure easy access and proper organization.
• Issue tools and equipment to production team members and record all tool movements in inventory systems or logs.
• Inspect tools for basic wear, damage, or defects and route them for repair or replacement as needed.
• Monitor stock levels of commonly used tools and supplies and communicate replenishment needs in a timely manner.
• Support production workers by quickly locating and distributing required tools to minimize downtime.
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while handling tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with the broader production team to ensure the tool crib supports daily production goals and schedules.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of experience in a production environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Strong attention to detail when tracking and managing inventory.
• Basic understanding of production tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow established processes and safety procedures.
• Reliable time management skills to support an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, Monday through Friday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in or supporting a tool crib or similar inventory-focused area.
• Comfort working as part of a large production team.
• Willingness to learn internal inventory systems and tool tracking processes.

Work Environment

You work on-site as part of a production team of approximately 200 people in a busy, fast-paced environment. The schedule runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no weekend work. Steel-toe footwear is required for safety on the production floor, and you spend your time in and around the tool crib area, supporting ongoing production activities

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Carrollton,TX.
