Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager
Location: Billings, MT | Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid
We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to lead geotechnical design and project management activities from initial concept through construction. This position will develop foundation solutions, oversee project schedules and budgets, coordinate design-build activities, and work closely with clients, contractors, engineers, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple geotechnical design-build projects from concept through completion.
- Develop foundation designs, engineering calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Review and interpret subsurface investigation and site data.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, and field activities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and overall performance.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support foundation solutions involving aggregate piers, helical piles, driven piles, and drilled foundations.
- Provide technical support for proposals, presentations, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering , or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure preferred.
- Experience in geotechnical engineering, foundation design, and project management .
- Strong understanding of foundation systems and subsurface investigation data.
- Experience with geotechnical/structural design software and CAD tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with technical and field teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Commitment to safety, quality, technical excellence, and client satisfaction.
