Direct Support Professional

Overview We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role helps them live valued lives in the community. Responsibilities Identify and report any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights. Provide support, assistance and supervision to meet the needs and goals of individuals according to their individualized plans. Ensure that training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure the health, safety and well‑being of the individuals are protected at all times. Provide a positive, reinforcing environment that promotes independence and choice. Follow positioning schedules, use proper equipment and assistive devices per plan. Provide necessary level of assistance for appropriate diet, texture and equipment. Ensure all homes, outside areas and vehicles are well‑maintained and organized. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Successfully complete the required pre‑employment background and drug screening. Possess a valid driver’s license with all necessary endorsements and a minimum of three years of driving experience. Possess basic computer skills. High school diploma or equivalent (if required by work location). Minimum one year of experience working in the human service field (if required by work location).
