Role Definition

Drive regional reporting capability, responsible for delivering standardized, accurate, and timely reporting solutions across supported region. This role ensures alignment to enterprise reporting standards, drives consistency in regional reporting operations, and partners with Corporate Reporting and Line Unit teams to translate data into actionable insights that support decision-making and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for standardized, reliable, and timely reporting delivery across supported region and line units.
• Establish and evolve a consistent regional operating model aligned with Reporting Center of Excellence standards for reporting delivery, governance, and engagement.
• Partner with Corporate Reporting to ensure alignment to enterprise reporting standards, definitions, and control expectations.
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement and Automation teams to identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and optimize regional reporting processes.
• Oversee consolidation of reporting activities previously embedded in line units, improving transparency, scalability, and efficiency.
• Own prioritization, capacity planning, and demand management for regional reporting work.
• Drive adoption of common reporting tools, platforms, and delivery practices aligned to enterprise architecture.
• Act as a key escalation point for regional reporting risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Ensure reporting solutions are repeatable, governed, and sustainable as scope expands across additional domains.
• Apply future-state thinking to mature regional reporting capabilities over time, aligned to global strategy.

Skill Descriptors

Business Assessment: Knowledge of business processes, operating systems, and related deliverables used to identify and document opportunities for standardization and simplification, and the ability to evaluate the benefits and risks of potential solutions.

• Understands business processes and how reporting supports operational and management needs.
• Understands business systems and how reporting systems integrate with process and support & interact with process.
• Applies tools and techniques for gathering reporting standardization, simplification, scalability, and automation requirements.
• Participates in the preparation of risk assessment and benefits analysis.

Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various techniques to meet business needs and requirements.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Collects required business data through various data sources.
• Utilizes designated data analysis software (both internal and external) to analyze business data.
• Investigate data requirements in the business data analysis process.
• Communicates data and insights clearly to stakeholders and translates data into clear insights and narratives that support business decision-making.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Utilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs.
• Processes limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy.
• Learns from mistakes and applies lessons learned.
• Develops and uses checklists to ensure that information goes out error-free.

Effective Communications: Understands effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs via proper communication.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.
• Presents data clearly using reports, dashboards, and visualizations that are easy to interpret.
• Communicates well downward, upward, and outward.
• Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement.

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success rollout of new reporting solution.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Follows policies, practices and standards for determining functional and informational requirements.
• Confirms deliverables associated with requirements analysis.
• Understands data structures, definitions, and business context across the supported region.
• Participates in the preparation of detailed documentation and requirements.

Solution Design and Development: Knowledge of solution features; ability to design, build, and develop a new Reporting Solution from concept through to production via the collaboration with other teams.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Communicates with professionals to understand various requirements of solution design.
• Tests and evaluates alternative means of production being considered for use.
• Uses automated tools to design or modify the design of a solution.
• Assists in building a complex prototype of solution.

This position requires incumbents to be onsite in the Nashville main office 5 days per week.

Compensation & Benefits

Summary Pay Range:

$ 94,728.00 - $151,572.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
