Executive Sous Chef
We are seeking a talented Executive Sous Chef to join a fine dining company known for exceptional food quality, high standards, and outstanding hospitality.
This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who wants to grow their career, develop their leadership skills, and position themselves for future Executive Chef opportunities .
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a hands-on culinary leader who is passionate about great food, developing people, and operational excellence .
You will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead the culinary team, maintain exceptional standards, and create a kitchen culture built around accountability, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement .
Key Responsibilities
- Help lead all aspects of daily kitchen operations
- Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution
- Coach, train, and develop culinary team members
- Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and team development
- Maintain strong food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with food cost, inventory, purchasing, and labor management
- Lead by example during high-volume service
- Build a positive, professional, people-first kitchen culture
- Partner with the Executive Chef to continuously improve culinary execution
Ideal Background
- Leadership experience in fine dining or high-end polished casual restaurants
- Strong knowledge of steaks, proteins, seafood, sauces, and scratch cooking
- Experience leading high-volume, high-standard kitchen operations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for coaching and developing culinary talent
- High standards with exceptional attention to detail
- Desire to grow into an Executive Chef or senior culinary leadership role
