Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years required, travel experience preferred, but will consider candidates with 5+ years of experience. License: RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, TNCC Must-Have: EPIC charting system experience required. Every other weekend availability required. Holiday availability required as scheduled. Floating within the specialty as needed is required. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care. The role is for the mid shift, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in emergency nursing. Travel experience is preferred, but candidates with at least five years of general nursing experience will be considered. EPIC charting system experience is mandatory. This position involves caring for patients across all age ranges and a variety of diagnoses, including chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest. The average daily census is 140 patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, increasing to 1:5 for lower acuity groups. Special equipment used in this role includes Belmont in trauma, Giraffe warmers for neonates, rapid infusers, and Lucas devices for cardiac arrests. Candidates must be capable of managing a wide range of acute conditions and facilitating effective patient care. Weekend and holiday shifts will be part of the schedule, as needed. Applicants should have the ability to float within the specialty when necessary.
