Digital Content Producer

KBAK/KBFX seeks a Digital Content Producer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is excited about producing news stories on multiple platforms. A successful candidate knows how to use analytics to guide story choices and understands the needs of different platforms. But first, you must know and love NEWS! Qualifications Strong writing and editing skills; newsroom experience preferred Knowledge of AP Style Ability to create engaging digital and social media content Basic photo editing skills; video production experience a plus Strong news judgment and ability to gather information from multiple sources Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Adaptable, coachable, and eager to learn Bachelor's degree required Responsibilities Write, edit, publish, and update digital news content for KBAK/KBFX platforms Cover breaking news across web, social media, video, and live platforms Monitor news sources to identify and develop timely stories Report and produce original local content with compelling headlines Collaborate with newsroom teams to coordinate digital coverage Enhance stories with multimedia, related content, and audience-focused storytelling Create digital first and social media content that drives engagement and traffic Ensure website content remains accurate, current, and engaging Explore innovative storytelling tools and formats Uphold KBAK/KBFX’s editorial and journalistic standards across all platforms The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.50 to $19.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
