Human Resources Coordinator (Weekend Shift)

HR Coordinator position is a key, employee facing role within the JD North America People Regional Business Services model. The Regional Business Services function is responsible for supporting all US businesses within the JD Group, including JD Sports, Finish Line, Finish Line Macy’s, Shoe Palace, Nice Kicks, Downtown Locker Room (DTLR), and Hibbett. This position provides world class “customer” service to employees, and delivers a premium employee experience, by responding to service tickets, assisting with compliance‑related issues, and managing various HR processes. This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key responsibilities include responding to tickets, emails, and/or calls to resolve employee issues, or escalating these issues to specialist teams within the People Department. The role also helps with I‑9/E‑Verify and minor compliance, answering general employee inquiries, and maintaining data in our HRIS system. The HR Coordinator conducts periodic data audits, manages invoicing for HR activities and supports special HR and compliance projects. This role involves regular interaction with business leaders, supervisors, and employees to ensure the smooth operation of HR processes and the enhancement of the employee experience by performing the following duties: Respond promptly and effectively to Jira tickets, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and providing resolutions within the stipulated time frame. Support improvement and refinement of processes concerning Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding, Change Job, and Termination to enhance employee experience. Provide support and resolution for any I‑9/E‑Verify compliance issues, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. Provide accurate and timely information as a point of contact for general HR‑related inquiries from employees. Appropriately escalates and assigns tickets to the relevant departments such as Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS for specialised handling. Review ticketing system dashboards regularly to track ticket status and generate reports for analysis and process improvement. Manage the submission process for promotional background checks, ensuring timely and accurate completion, and communication with managers. Accurately enter new hire information into various support systems, maintaining the integrity of employee data. Responsible for the input, maintenance, audit, extraction, manipulation, and analysis of confidential HR data from the HCM System across various modules (e.g., Recruitment, Talent Management, Employee Records). Conduct regular data audits to ensure the consistency and accuracy of information in the HCM System. Manage and process invoices related to HR activities, ensuring accurate and timely payments. Lead and deliver HR initiatives from inception to completion, including creating and maintaining reports to track progress. Coordinate with the benefits team on ticket ordering for employee perks (e.g., zoo, carwash, and movie tickets). Assist with audit processes related to Open Enrollment, ensuring compliance and accurate record‑keeping Required Education and/or Experience Associate’s degree (A.S.) from a two‑year college or university and at least 1 – 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant experience can come in a plethora of different environments, including customer facing service industries like retail, customer service industries like a call centre, HR roles, or any other administrative support positions. Internal JD Group experience is always preferred. Required Computer and/or Technical Skills Should have strong knowledge and abilities with end‑user computing platforms like Microsoft/Google Suite applications and ticketing management systems. Must be able to navigate and administer HRIS solutions, with Workday experience being a plus.
