Entry Level Staff Accountant

A Beacon Hill client in the manufactoring is seeking an Entry Level Staff Accountant to join their team in Camden County, NJ. This is a contract opportunity offering exposure to core accounting functions and the chance to develop within a growing finance organization with potenital for long term conversion. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 0-4+ years of accounting experience, including internships. Compensation is $55,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience. Previous accounting internship or entry-level accounting experience is highly prefered. Position Summary Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger activity Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations while researching discrepancies Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes as needed Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within the ERP system Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and variance investigations Support audit requests and provide documentation for internal and external auditors Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with special projects Technical Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 0-4+ years of accounting experience, including internships or co-op experience Understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis Experience with ERP systems preferred; Microsoft Dynamics 365 exposure is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
