Machine Operator II

Job Title

Pay Range: $23.90hr - $28.90hr

Requirement/Must Have

• Experience with CNC machining, grinding, milling, or multi-axis equipment.
• Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with multi-axis machining, including 5-axis grinding and 3-axis milling.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments to tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of machine set up and adjustment.
• Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously based on cycle time.
• Successful completion of written tests and audits to obtain certified operator (CO) stamp.
• Completion of lock out/tag out training.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as assigned.
• Ability to maintain acceptable attendance.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and maintain at least one process machine such as a rotary or surface grinder.
• Perform machine set-up and wheel changes within standard set-up times.
• Maintain all quality and production records including tooling calibration and daily walk-arounds.
• Maintain productivity, utilization, schedule, and quality records in compliance with standards.
• Perform inspection of non-certified operators.
• Assist with training of Machine Trainees as required.
• Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) duties.
• Maintain 6S and other area housekeeping standards.
• Execute clean-up shift procedures.
• Maintain visual control boards and hour-by-hour charts.
• Participate and actively promote continuous improvement activities.
• Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Actively participate, promote, and comply with all Quality and EH&S programs and policies.

• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
