Salary: $200,000 – $250,000 per year
A leading senior care organization is seeking an experienced Vice President of Revenue Cycle to lead and optimize the organization's Accounts Receivable (AR) function across a growing portfolio of healthcare facilities.
This executive leadership role will oversee all aspects of revenue cycle operations with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable management, collections, reimbursement optimization, cash acceleration, denial reduction, and team leadership. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading large revenue cycle teams within senior care, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or long-term care organizations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide executive leadership for all Accounts Receivable and revenue cycle operations.
Develop and execute strategies to improve cash collections, reduce AR aging, and maximize reimbursement.
Oversee billing, collections, payment posting, denial management, appeals, and follow-up teams.
Monitor key revenue cycle metrics including DSO, aging reports, denial rates, cash collections, and reimbursement trends.
Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and revenue cycle performance across multiple facilities.
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial payer billing requirements.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Executive Management to optimize financial performance.
Develop, mentor, and lead high-performing revenue cycle leadership teams.
Identify process improvement opportunities through technology, automation, and best practices.
Prepare executive reports and present revenue cycle performance to senior leadership.
10+ years of progressive Revenue Cycle leadership experience.
Significant experience leading Accounts Receivable operations within a senior care, skilled nursing, post-acute, home health, hospice, or long-term care organization.
Proven success improving AR performance, reducing aging, increasing collections, and maximizing cash flow.
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial reimbursement.
Experience overseeing multi-site or multi-facility revenue cycle operations.
Demonstrated success building and leading large revenue cycle teams.
Strong analytical, operational, and leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience with PointClickCare or other long-term care EHR and billing systems.
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) revenue cycle leadership experience strongly preferred.
Experience leading organizational revenue cycle transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement regulations and compliance.
