Financial Applications Project ManagerInc is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for their company wide initiatives of financial application solutions. The broadly distributed and diverse projects need a PM who can coordinate an agile development team with a focus on participatory design and broad community engagement. This position will report to the Delivery Manager. As Project Manager, you will lead team on a complex small project, medium size project or significant segment of a large project. The candidate will be responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality and appropriate business measurements for their project/segment of the project, according to their project charter. The candidate will work with the business team and/or project team members to identify business requirements and develops and/or reviews the business and functional requirement documents. Subsequently leads a team in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks of a project (or segment of a project) to produce the solution deliverable. Execute a wide range of process activities beginning with the request for proposal through development, test and final delivery. The candidate will possess a combination of strong analysis, design, application development and implementation skills within financial applications. This individual will work with a team responsible for the development and/or implementation of enterprise wide store and corporate user based solutions. During the project lifecycle, the individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams of users, developers and QA analysts to ensure successful delivery of critical projects. The candidate must be able to work through the various phases of the projects and take it to successful completion from beginning to end.Job duties:Leads and coordinates software design, development and testing.Leads gathering of business requirements, documentation, analysis and cross-functional communications.Liaison with various Business units who will be partners on the project.Ensure the timely creation of required materials; including technical specifications, project and resource plans, project updates and presentation materials.Responsible for risk assessment and reporting.Provides expert technical leadership to the development team.Coordinates and tracks all project deliverables (milestones, dependencies, critical paths).Takes ownership of on-time/on-budget project(s) completion.Assists in managing all project resources (internal/external), including budgets.Develops short term and long-term project plans, priorities and objectives.Required Skills:3+ years experience in a PM role leading major initiativesTeam & Project Leadership skillsMust be able to facilitate meetings with Business stake holdersA background combining hands-on design or development experience, and project/program management expertise (at a senior level)Must be business process centric and well organizedStrong business acumen and experience in managing (and understanding) business aspects of software projectsEffective Communication (Written and Verbal)Fluent in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS-Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook and TeamsAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervisionExcellent time management skillsBasic SQL Ability to write and execute basic SQL queriesDesired Skills:Strong iSeries experienceData analysis and system navigationStrong experience with financial applicationsLawson experience a plusRetail Application & Business KnowledgePMP Certification a big plus
