Position Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Organization: Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital Compensation: $50,000 Signing Bonus; Relocation Incentive Available Responsibilities Administers general, regional and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical and obstetrical procedures. Performs anesthesia-related procedures under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist. Evaluates patients preoperatively and, in consultation with the attending anesthesiologist, formulates and carries out an anesthesia care plan including monitoring and recording patient reaction to anesthesia and modifying the anesthetic plan accordingly. Safely transports patients to and from an anesthetizing location and ensures appropriate care during the postoperative period. Supervises, instructs, and counsels student nurse anesthetists to ensure patient safety. Interacts with staff and patients in a respectful and considerate manner. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited/approved CRNA program; new graduates accepted during final semester. Licensure and Certification: TN Registered Nurse and CRNA certification; consideration may be given to candidates who can obtain license/certification within 90 days. Requirements & Licensure Certifications: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists; Licensure as Registered Nurse.
