Our client specializes in the engineering and fabrication of rig systems, wellbore technologies, and completion and production solutions.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Instrumentation Tubing Technician to install and fabricate stainless steel tubing systems for hydraulic and instrumentation equipment. The role requires experience reading blueprints and hydraulic schematics, as well as working with Swagelok tubing and HPU systems. Experience in the oil & gas industry is highly preferred.

Job Description

• Plan layout and installation in accordance with instructions or work requirements using drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manuals.
• Measures thread, cuts, and assembles cable tray and cable tray support systems
• Install tubing and clamps into cable tray systems.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install tubing and piping.
• Plan and coordinate daily work with limited supervision.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all Client Company and HSE policies and procedures

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize hand, hydraulic, and power tools
• Drill and tap holes in structures and attach brackets, guards, etc., per the assembled drawing
• Operate man lifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, band saws, hose cutting/crimping devices, pressure pumps, and hydraulic pumping units when necessary
• Inspect and maintain tools
• Follow all 6S guidelines and ensure that they are met
  

Skills Required

• Previous Instrumentation experience in Swagelok stainless steel tubing
• Tubing ranges from a quarter inch to 1 inch- Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) experience
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics
• Ability to fit, cut, and bend stainless steel tubing without errors
• 2-3 years of experience in Oil and Gas is highly preferred
• Previous experience with Client competitors such as Cameron and Schlumberger with HPU, surface equipment, and land equipment experience
• Previous experience working with Swagelok (brand) Stainless Steel Tubing - high-quality tubing is highly preferred

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or GED

Additional Requirements

• An on-site bend test will be required during the on-site interview. Candidates do not need to bring their own tools
• Shift Hours:
  • Day shift, 5:00 am – 5:30 pm (30-min lunch)
  • Night shift, 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (30-min lunch)
  • The start and end time of the shift will depend on part arrivals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to lift 30 lbs.
• Work at heights up to 65 feet
• Will be standing, sitting, and walking throughout the workday
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment

Pay Rate/Salary

• $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
