MACHINE OPERATOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Produce Stampings by processing metal through hydraulic press, safely, within specified tolerances. Inspect completed parts for conformance to standards and tolerances. Report non-conforming parts to supervisor / QC staff. Maintain focus and attention on press at all times while in operation. Communicate needs with material handlers. Remove scrap and maintain organized work area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience operating punch press is desired but not required. Must demonstrate the physical ability to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Must be capable of communicating effectively with production team and department supervisors. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Safety conscious at all times. Ability to interact with individuals from all backgrounds. Reliable transportation to and from work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis. Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily. Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products. Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift). Stand 100% of the day.
